New student? Just come to any daytime beginning class. This is where we teach the main principles, and where I have all new students study initially. The classes are very small and have a heavy emphasis on attention to detail. After a month or so you move up to the Toddler Level group where we teach the sequence of movements together with emphasis on principles and detailed instruction of each movement, with these classes being a little larger. You may begin a Baby Level class at anytime.

Wear comfortable clothing and if you choose an early morning class, I suggest wearing layers. Wear the flattest shoes you own, preferably with a wide toe box because we spread and grip with our toes. ‘Barefoot’ shoes work the best. Deck shoes or Keds sneakers on the wide side also work well. Running shoes are not good for tai chi.

After you begin classes with our school, you will have access to free practice videos to help your training. These videos relate directly to the lessons in class and are meant to be support material to help you practice between classes.

Private classes by appointment.
