Message from Master Toni: I will be going to a special taiji trip in March 2026, six months after the taiji workshop in Greece. You are welcome to come too. Significant others are welcome. This will likely be the only 2026 workshop that I will be away for.
Message from Master Alex Dong: I’m happy to announce our China tour combined with the first ever International Dong Style Tai Chi Competition in Hong Kong is coming to fruition. We’ll start with a visit to Thailand, follow with visits to a few of China’s most beautiful sights, then finish with a 4-day visit of Macau and Hong Kong where we’ll have our competition in conjunction to the official international competition of HK. We also are planning a Dong Style Tai Chi gathering the day before the competition to mingle with our Hong Kong and Chinese counterparts, watch performances, and enjoy a delicious HK banquet.
Trip begins with March 5 departure from LAX to Bangkok.
- March 7 – 13. Thailand. Six days / five nights workshop in Rayong Thailand-about 3 hours from BKK airport. Rayong is a beautiful beach town with less international tourists. Alex’s students said it should be very peaceful especially during the week. We’ll practice a lot and get over the jet lag here. Just lay in the sun on the beach or pool and eat nice food on our free time. There are tours also for those who are interested.
- March 13-20. China. We’ll be visiting Zhangjiajie-where they filmed Avatar and Guilin-one of the most beautiful areas of China. Making a short visit to Macau will qualify us to a 10 days visa-free visit to China which will save time and money. Four-star travel.
- March 20-23. Hong Kong. International Competition in Hong Kong is set for March 20-23, 2026 ending at checkout time on March 23. Accommodation is in a five-star hotel, but it’s also possible to find your own accommodation and just participate in the events.

Santa Barbara 2026 with Master Alex Dong
The Santa Barbara workshop is every year now on the first weekend of May.
For 2026: Friday May 1 at 3:00-5:30, and then two 2.5 hour classes each on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3 at 9:30-12 and 2:00-4:30.
Saturday night we have an organized group dinner. The out of town guests often get together with Alex and some of the local students for a meal on Sunday early evening after class near the beach.
Students are welcome to bring significant others to the all dinner gatherings. Lunches are on our own usually in small groups at local near by restaurants.
Lots of hotels, motels and air BnBs (usually the best deal) but you would want to reserve early, I think all have cancellation abilities if something comes up and you change your mind.
The venue is at Oak Park near 625 Junipero St, SB 93105 on a wooden stage/deck surrounded by trees.
Tuition: $275 for all 5 classes. Or $65 per class.
